The assessment for applicants to The Gym consists of two interviews.

• A technical interview, consisting of theoretical questions and a small practical coding challenge, similar to the ones that can be found on codewars.com
• A short personal interview, which includes an assessment of your English level

The technical interview focusses on JavaScript Fundamentals. To get a feeling of what we mean by “JavaScript Fundamentals” check out this udacity course: https://learn.udacity.com/courses/ud803

If both links don’t work, search udacity for the course called “Intro to JavaScript”. Don’t confuse it with “Introduction to JavaScript”, as “Intro to JavaScript” is for free and “Introduction to JavaScript” requires you to pay a fee.

You don’t have to use the course above to prepare. Any other material is just as good. The course above should just give you an overview of the content we expect you to be familiar with.

To prepare for the practical coding challenge in the assessment, use simple codewars katas of JavaScript fundamentals.
